A Little About My Flying

You all have seen plenty of pictures of airplanes and aerial photos but here is one I snapped of Devil's Lake in Wisconsin while on one of the long distance legs for my Commercial Pilot's rating.

Devil's Lake (click to enlarge)It's a good place to climb and scuba. The East Bluff is on the right side of the lake and the West Bluff is on the left. You'll find no bolted sport routes here. You either lead it or top rope. This is a good training grounds for the more demanding missions.

How appropriate, back when "I never inhaled" and being enthralled with the movie Johnathan Livingston Seagull...to end up taking flight lessons at Livingston-Betsworth Field (Waterloo Municipal Airport) named after one of the inspirations for the movie, John Henry Livingston.......I now hold a Certified Flight Instructor rating.

John H. Livingston held pilot's license no. 1427 and was known as the fastest most courageous pilot during the 1920's and 30's.

I'll take and tell ya, I've taken a lot of certification tests in my time but the 4 written and practical tests I took getting to the CFI level were the toughest. I passed each one with flying colors the first time through. Everything since has been child's play.
