Devil's Tower, WY
In '96 I climbed Bon Homme, Soler and Durrance with Bob Archbold and Steve Cochran. I climbed Durrance again in "97 with my son Kyle who was 14 at the time. The view is from the park campgrounds.
This is the view from the benches and binocular area (looking north). Durrance goes up the leaning column on the left, Bon Homme is at the right side of the sunny area and Soler is near the left edge of the shady area on the right.
Steve Cochran is standing at the bottom of the Meadows Rappel. The Meadows is a class 4 finish to most of the climbs beginning under it. Though some routes can be climbed directly to the summit. There are rap stations at either end of the meadows. One can avoid downclimbing the meadows and rappel from the summit to the west end of the meadows.
Bob relaxing at the Meadows finish after my masterfull second of Bon Homme.
Kyle and I striking a pose on the summit. '97
Practicing my herpetology on one of the campground residents. My guess is a Rat Snake, could be a King. Wife Amy locked herself in the van while daughters Nikki (back) and Brooke get a closer look.
