Colorado 14'ers
Mt. Belford (14,197) & Mt. Oxford (14,153)
These two peaks are straight-forward walk-ups on well defined trails with over
5900 ft. of elevation gain. It took me 7 hours round trip including photos and
conversing. On the way to the trailhead there is plenty of free (primative)
camping.
Mt. Belford doesn't come into view until you get above treeline in Missouri
Gulch. The summit trail continues up the northwest shoulder. Elkhead pass is to
the right.
From the summit of Belford, Mt. Oxford is east by northeast.
